Spring has sprung, even in Denmark, and Elisabeth and her son Frederik took Rod (IM Edelrood) and Ludvig (Torhuset's Hunter's Moon Ludvig) for a walk ... and brought the camera along.

Sunday in Jo’burg

Mixed pics from a Sunday RR walk in Jo’burg. These get-togethers are organised by Liz Penprase, and take place in on of the parks established along natural bodies of water north of the city … in this case I think that it’s the Jukskei River.

Ulanyo proves that there are RRs who like water

We were incredibly lucky with the weather; it was a bit cold and windy at times, but it didn’t rain and we didn’t need to use the indoor riding arena I had made sure was available … just in case!

The pics are a mixed lot, but feature Anne Löfqvist and Fani, Anette Frosch and Lacoste, Anna-Karin Sundberg and Oden, Peter Falck and Dinah, Annica Andersson and Prince, Alex Rydin (and her family) with Caesar, Sofia Djärv and Akello, Tina Mattsson and Molly, and Klas Gille (and Anna) with Zeya.

A big thank you to Tommy Christensen for all the pics (986 in all, so this is but a selection!), and to Anna and Klas Gille for the delicious food. And a big thank you too all who joined in; without you this by now annual weekend would not happen, and without your happy faces it would also be a lot less FUN!!!

Lovely Ladies

Mira x 2; IM Tswana is about to start her training as a Rescue Dog in Iceland. The Head of the Canine Department at the Iceland Rescue Centre has decided that she as an uncommonly good sense of smell, and she will therefore be concentrating on tracking, doing her first tests in August.

And then there are Leija (IM Jenny-Leija) and Fani (IM Fanagalo) at home at Fjärås; Anne Löfqvist took the picture.

Puppy Get-Together

In connection with the puppy get-together on July 18th, two families spent the night with me at Mellberg, and the following day Tomas, Catharina and Alexandra Rydin with Caesar (IM Sepedi), and Dan and Birgit Ströbech with Zulu, as well as Marie with Rekaylahn Amber, IM Fleur de Cap and IM Carnelian, went for a walk at Tjolöholm House, near Kungsbacka. And Dan took this nice picture!

Pretty Wilma

Proud owner Jeanette Andersson has sent us this pic of her Wilma (IM Two Oceans) with some of her show rosettes.

One winter's day I went for a walk with Amber (Rekaylahn Amber), Fleur (IM Fleur de Cap) and Haley (IM Meerlust), and Anna Björn and Klas Gille joined us. Klas took the pictures, and the couple later bought Zeya, IM Sapphire.

At the age of nine weeks and three days Carnelian has discovered that a deer hoof is not only exceedingly tasty, it's great fun as well. This bodes well for the future ...

Lexus, Inanda Mellberg Dieu Donné, turned two on June 22nd.

At 5am we were at the deserted beach, and Weinston and Fleur had a long walk.

An impromptue family reunion
One sunny day in May Anne Löfqvist visited us, with her son Wilhelm, Leija (IM Jenny-Leija) and Fani (IM Fanagalo), and we seized the moment and went for a short walk with them and Fleur (IM Fleur de Cap). The "gals" had lots of fun, and it's not difficult to see that they are related; all ex.
Lionesque Clementine, and born in '03, '06 and '07 respectively.

Emsie (IM Marigold-Mziki) has started doing a bit of agility with My Matthiasson,
and is progressing nicely.

One sunny day in February 2008, Eva Mustad paid us a visit and took some pictures of Clementine and three of her daughters, Fleur de Cap, Inala and Mira (IM Tswana). Inala has since gone to South Africa, and Mira will soon leave for Iceland.

One sunny day in March (one of the few) resulted in a few new pictures of Fleur.

Edelrood, now known as Rod, lives with Elisabeth Svendsen in Denmark, and will eventully take over as her field tracker. Elisabeth is a professional hunter in Jutland, and currently uses Torhusets Hunter's Moon Ludvig for her fiel tracking. Rod is her third RR, and all have been working hounds.
